Data period
15.03–28.10.2026 / 136,773 hourly application records. Event dates and data coverage are separate from publication dates. Archive analyses are not backdated.
Source: VoltAlert / ENTSO-E. Wholesale prices are not a complete electricity bill. Figures are arithmetic means of application records; contracts and consumption profiles matter.
Poland & Europe
Records are paired by local date and hour in CET/CEST. Only complete pairs are included. DE and LU refer to DE-LU; DK represents DK1, SE represents SE3 and IT represents IT-North.
PL / DE-LU: 5,471 pairs. PL: 120.69, DE-LU: 115.19 EUR/MWh.
Archive 2015–2026
Historical daily data are compared over the same seasonal window. Incomplete days are excluded. A mean of daily means and a mean of hourly records are different aggregations. Before October 2018, the German bidding area also included Austria (DE-AT-LU).
A price spike alone does not prove a shortage or manipulation. Establishing its causes requires separate evidence on supply, demand, generating-unit unavailability and cross-border flows.
