The app

01What is VoltAlert for?+

VoltAlert helps you monitor day-ahead electricity prices, read statistics and receive alerts linked to your chosen threshold. It is most useful when you can shift part of your consumption or want to understand market conditions better.

The app is neither an electricity supplier nor a billing system. It does not change your contract, place exchange orders or determine the invoice amount. Before planning charging or appliance operation, check how market prices relate to the terms of your tariff.

02Is the app free?+

The VoltAlert service presented here can be used without an app fee or premium accounts. This does not mean free electricity: the costs of buying power, data transmission and operating your devices remain yours.

Use the link to the official app store before downloading. If someone offers paid activation of alerts, asks for your password or promises guaranteed profits through the app, verify the message directly using the contact details on the VoltAlert website.

03When will VoltAlert be available on iPhone?+

The iOS version is under review in the App Store. As of this page's update date, we are not giving a confirmed release date. The App Store button explains the status instead of linking to an unpublished app.

The download link will appear after approval. Availability on Android does not mean that every system-dependent feature, such as widgets and notification management, will work identically on both platforms.

04How do I choose and save an alert threshold?+

In your profile, choose the market, currency and price threshold, then save the settings. The threshold is a reference point for an electricity price alert, not a limit on your total bill. Check the unit: PLN 200/MWh means PLN 0.20/kWh before other settlement components.

Match the threshold to your purpose, such as charging a car, instead of copying someone else's value. After changing country or currency, check the displayed number and the save confirmation again. If the settings have not been saved, simply moving a toggle is not enough to change how the service works.

05Why am I not receiving notifications?+

Check, in order, the saved market and threshold, whether notifications are enabled in the app and whether the operating system permits them to be displayed. Then check your internet connection, Do Not Disturb mode and background activity restrictions. Settings differ between phone manufacturers.

Compare the event time with the alert history if it is available in your account. When reporting a problem, provide the date, market, threshold and app version; do not send your password. An alert is an information aid, not a guaranteed channel for operations that require an immediate response.

06Does changing currency change the electricity market?+

No. The market determines the price series for the selected area, while the currency determines how values are displayed. A German price shown in Polish zloty still refers to the German bidding zone. Conversion alone does not create a Polish electricity sales price.

For international comparisons, it is best to retain a common currency in EUR/MWh. When checking an invoice, verify the exchange rate and conversion method specified in the contract. Different exchange-rate dates or rounding can cause small differences even when the underlying price is identical.

07Why can I not see tomorrow's prices?+

Day-ahead prices must be published by the market and the data source, then retrieved by the service. A missing table does not mean a zero price and should not be filled with guesses. Publication delays, corrections and technical interruptions are also possible.

First check the date on the screen and refresh the data. If prices remain unavailable, compare the situation with the source's announcements. Do not treat today's data as a substitute forecast for tomorrow. Schedule a device only using the correct delivery day and the terms of your contract.

08Does VoltAlert switch devices on automatically?+

The VoltAlert features presented here provide price information and alerts. Do not assume that the app independently controls an inverter, charger, heat pump or storage system. You carry out the decision, or it is carried out by a separate system compatible with the installation's equipment.

If using external automation, check its documentation, the equipment's limits and how it reacts to missing data. Cheap electricity is not a reason to bypass safeguards, force operation contrary to the instructions or ignore the network operator's directions.

09Do I need an account for personalised settings?+

User-linked settings, such as a saved threshold and alert history, are handled in the app in the context of an account. What is visible without signing in may vary between versions. The message on a particular screen indicates when you need to sign in.

Sharing one account between several people can make it harder to understand who changed the threshold or market. Before considering an alert incorrect, check the saved preferences and active device. Do not treat an account as an independent configuration for each installation unless the app explicitly offers that feature.

10Does the app know my actual electricity consumption?+

Displaying market prices does not in itself require access to your meter. A public price and a particular household's consumption profile are different information. Do not assume that a cost chart or the cheapest hour is an analysis of actual readings from your supply point.

The privacy policy describes the scope of account data and how it is processed. If you share a file from your operator with anyone, check whether it contains a supply-point number, address or personal details. A simple calculation example needs only an anonymised profile, without revealing these identifiers.

11How do I delete my account and data?+

Use the account deletion function in your profile or the official VoltAlert account deletion page. Distinguish deleting an account from uninstalling the app: removing the app from your phone does not by itself delete your account data from the service.

Before confirming, read the scope and consequences of the operation, especially for your settings and history. If you cannot sign in, use the official support contact. Do not send a password or authorisation codes to someone offering to delete data on your behalf.

12How do I report a suspicious price or a data error?+

Record the country or zone, delivery date, hour, unit, currency and time of the last refresh. Include a screenshot without personal data and a link to the source you are comparing. Simply saying that there is a different number online does not establish the cause.

Check that you are comparing the same zone and product: an hourly value with an hourly value, not with a single quarter-hour, the Polish RCE market electricity price or a retail bill. On the blog, anomalies mean observations within a specific sample; they are not automatically evidence of a publication error or a breach of market rules.
